My Story

At WeCare Counselling and Psychotherapy, my foundation is built on more than just training—it's built on experience. Having overcome a difficult attachment style and my own personal challenges, I developed the deep empathy and unique insight necessary to truly connect with clients who are experiencing pain and trauma.

My personal journey transformed past struggles into a profound well of resilience, which is now the bedrock of my effective psychotherapy practice.

WeCare was launched to create a secure, understanding environment where you are truly heard. My mission is to be the support you need as we explore your vulnerabilities together, guided by someone who has successfully navigated a difficult path.

I specialise in working with clients impacted by child abuse and trauma, workplace and relationship bullying, and behavioural and substance addiction issues. My approach targets the underlying emotional pain and abuse, treating the roots of depression, anxiety, and the coping mechanisms that lead to addiction.

I hold an BSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy from PCI/Middlesex University and a MSc in Addiction Counselling and Psychotherapy. As part of my Masters in Addiction Counselling, I also hold a Professional Certificate in Family Dimension in Addiction. I incorporate many concepts from different theoretical approaches, including psychotherapy, person-centred therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing and solution-focused therapy.

A Unique Approach

What truly distinguishes WeCare Counselling and Psychotherapy is my unique approach, which is deeply rooted in personal experience and lived wisdom. Navigating life's hurdles, including my own challenges with trust and attachment, has cultivated a profound empathy that goes beyond professional training. Working collaboratively,  together we create a safe and non-judgmental space where you feel genuinely seen and heard. My personal journey is my unique selling point, transforming past struggles into a beacon of hope for you my client. In Galway, WeCare Counselling & Psychotherapy offers more than just therapy; it provides a supportive connection built on understanding and genuine care.
