Testimonies
"I was terrified of reaching out, expecting to be judged for my struggles. Instead, I found a partner in my recovery who truly cared. Helen helped me look at the 'why' behind my addiction with such kindness and gave me practical coping mechanisms I use every day. I’m not just 'sober' now; I’m actually learning how to live and be happy with myself again."

Helen helped me look at the 'why' behind my addiction with such kindness and equipped me with practical coping skills that I use every single day to stay on track. "We were stuck in the same negative cycles for years. The sessions with Helen helped us see each other again, not as adversaries, but as a team. We’ve learned how to express our fears instead of our anger, and it has completely changed the atmosphere in our home. We feel like we’re finally on the same side."

CBT with Helen has been incredibly practical and eye-opening. I was struggling with overwhelming anxiety, and these sessions gave me specific techniques to stop the negative thought cycles before they spiral. I feel much more in control of my daily life."

"I honestly thought our relationship was beyond repair; we seemed to trigger each other at every turn. Family Systems therapy helped us step back and look at the 'dance' we were stuck in, rather than just pointing fingers. It wasn't about blame—it was about understanding the history and the patterns we’d unknowingly carried into our relationship. I feel like I finally truly see my daughter, and for the first time in years, we are actually communicating, not just colliding. It’s been a profound shift from conflict to genuine connection."

"For years, my trauma wasn’t just a memory—it was a physical presence. I lived in a constant state of high alert; I was jumpy, irritable, and my sleep was non-existent. I felt like I was constantly bracing for an impact that had already happened. I was terrified of starting EMDR because the idea of 'going back there' felt impossible. The journey was deeply challenging; there were days where I felt raw and exposed, and it required immense courage to face those suppressed emotions. But Helen held that space with such steady, calm patience that I never felt alone in the dark. It wasn't an overnight fix, but it was the most important work I’ve ever done. Today, the 'alarm' in my brain is finally turned down. I no longer feel hijacked by my past, and for the first time, I have the mental freedom to actually be present with my family. The work was hard, but the peace I’ve gained is worth every second."

"I honestly didn't think grief was something you 'managed'—I thought it was something that would just eventually break me. The different stages I went through were exhausting; one day I was in total denial, the next I was overwhelmed by anger or a sadness so deep I couldn't move. I felt like I was losing my mind, but Helen helped me understand that these weren't signs of breaking, but parts of the natural, messy process of healing. Therapy gave me a safe, non-judgmental space to just 'be' in whatever stage I was in that day. It didn’t make the loss hurt any less, but it gave me the strength to carry it. I’ve learned that the grief doesn't disappear, but it changes—it has become a part of my story, rather than the whole of it. I am finally able to hold onto the love of the person I lost without being completely consumed by the pain."
